What We Do
What is a doula? And how our doulas will benefit you.
Whether in place of or in addition to a partner or loved one, every birthing woman deserves a birth doula.
A doula is a trained childbirth companion who is a form of birth ambassador that advocates for the birthing woman before, during, and immediately after childbirth. Our certified doulas help facilitate a safe, healthy, and positive birth experience. Our doulas assist in childbirth education and preparation, understanding nuances from previous births (if any), and will support the birthing woman with massage and other comfort measures to help alleviate pain. We can also help with creating a birth plan, postpartum plan, and lactation support.
We are here to provide excellent support to help you have the best experience possible and would love to support you in your amazing journey.

To do our part to slow the spread of this disease, we began offering expanded virtual services, which have proven to be incredibly successful and beneficial. We are committed to ensuring you will have the childbirth support you need during your birth experience.

Prenatal appointments are encouraged and will help you get prepared for your hospital tour if you have chosen a hospital birth. You can also choose to work with your birth doula to create your birth plan and postpartum plan.
We believe in education, empowerment, and individualized care. We care about your physical and emotional needs and want to ensure your prenatal experience is one that you'll enjoy.

Whether in a home, hospital, or birthing center, your certified doula will come to you when you go into labor and will help you progress with as much comfort as possible. In your space, you will have the freedom to move around as needed and relax in whatever way feels good for your body.
If you have chosen a hospital birth, your birth doula will go with you to the hospital when you are ready and will support you throughout the birthing process until after delivering the placenta.

Having a birth doula will include a few hours of postpartum care. BabyMeDoulas will also offer Postpartum Doula services, should you need them.
